College/Department Information
The Medical College of Georgia is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia. MCG's expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provides about 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to more than 500 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-approved programs. Our researchers and clinicians focus on what most impacts the health of Georgia's and America's children and adults, including cardiovascular biology and disease, cancer, neurosciences and behavioral sciences, public and preventive health, regenerative and reparative medicine, personalized medicine and genomics. Our physician faculty also share their expertise with physicians and patients at about 100 clinics and hospitals statewide.

Job Summary
This position reports directly to the Campus Associate Dean for SW Regional Campus, Medical College of Georgia and works in concert with the Associate Dean for Regional Campuses. S/he will be the face of the MCG SW Regional Campus with direct contact with local physicians, hospitals and AHEC for recruitment of students and faculty to participate in the teaching programs.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Make personal visits to MCG's medical students completing their clinical rotations in community-based settings to assure their experiences are satisfactory and in compliance with MCG's clinical requirements. Assist the Campus Associate Dean for SW Georgia campus to identify, recruit and support clinical faculty in the SW Georgia Region to include hospital and private practice locations. Provide verbal and written reports to the Campus Associate Dean as to the activity of students in the area and their progress. Serve as liaison between the Campus Associate Dean for SW campus, the regional hospitals and the AHEC in assuring that student housing and support needs are met during student clinical rotations in the region. Interface routinely with physicians' support staff. Coordinate regularly scheduled meetings with students and clinical faculty as deemed necessary by the Campus Associate and Assistant Dean for SW Clinical campus. Assist with the preparation of presentation to community organizations, schools and universities in support of recruiting students to MCG and strengthening the regional campus efforts. Assist with the proctoring of all exams for the SW campus. Perform all other work assignments and/or special projects as directed. All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, along with three years of directly related program experience in a hospital or academic setting to include directly related clinical rotation programs experience OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, along with six years of directly related program experience in a hospital or academic setting to include directly related clinical rotation programs experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of MCG Admissions policies and procedures. Experience speaking to large crowds and working with a culturally diverse population.

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Media and communications experience, including the production of print materials.

ABILITIES
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions.
Excellent verbal/written, interpersonal, and presentational communications skills. Experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer software/databases. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Possession of a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel, including some evenings, weekends, and overnight.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)

Pay Grade: 15

Salary: Minimum $38,913.00/Annually - $52,533/Annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
