Job Description

Summary

The Project Intern will be part of the short term internship with Human Genome Sequencing Center (HGSC) -Genetics/Genomics Research Education Training (G/GREAT) Program. 

Job Duties

  • Performs routine research experiments that require the use of skills, technical, and academic knowledge to follow established protocols. 
  • Works with DNA samples and could involve working directly with mice and mouse samples and preparing these samples for further analysis.
  • Histochemical staining of slides or Immunofluorescence staining of slides.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a sophomore, junior or senior in college majoring in STEM disciplines such as biology, chemistry, computer science, math, computer engineering, or mechanical engineering
  • No experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Computational skills
