Job Description

Summary

The Department of Medicine is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to provide support for the Sections of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine at Ben Taub Hospital.  This role is responsible for ensuring daily business operations are executed, including overseeing provider credentialling, maintaining clinic schedules, and day-to-day administrative and faculty support. 

Job Duties

• Supports the day-to-day operations of the service lines at Ben Taub.
• Serves as the primary credentialling contact for BCM providers at Harris Health including BaylorMedCare credentialling, including the tracking of credentialling status, initial credentialling, and re-credentialling.
• Maintains schedules in QGenda.
• Processes supplemental Concur expenses for faculty for moonlighting and other additional assignments.
• Manages death certificate process via TxEVER system.
• Providesadministrative support and IT support to faculty and Harris Health program.
• Maintains the website and online faculty profiles for Harris Health faculty.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

• Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
• Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills. 
• Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
