The Advancing the Science of Reading Grant Project Manager will collaborate with the BSU grant team to implement, monitor, and assure compliance with the grant activities, goals, and budget. Under the direction of the Chair of Elementary Education, the Project Manager will facilitate collaboration structures, take the lead on partnership communications and collaborations, engage in grant data management and report writing, and maintain grant records and resources. The Project Manager will execute the position responsibilities, including participation in weekly BSU grant team meetings and performance of other assigned duties. This position is grant funded, and the individual hired will have an At Will assignment.

The salary for this position is: $65,000.

Job Function:

The Advancing the Science of Reading Grant Project Manager will collaborate with the BSU grant team to implement, monitor, and assure compliance with the grant activities, goals, and budget. Under the direction of the Chair of Elementary Education, the Project Manager will facilitate collaboration structures, take the lead on partnership communications and collaborations, engage in grant data management and report writing, and maintain grant records and resources. The Project Manager will execute the position responsibilities, including participation in weekly BSU grant team meetings and performance of other assigned duties. This position is grant funded, and the individual hired will have an At Will assignment.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field from an accredited institution.

Preferred Education:

Master's degree in education or a relevant field from an accredited institution.

Minimum Experience:

Experience in P-12 educational settings

Preferred Experience:

Experience working with a range of educational stakeholders within the P-12 continuum, university, and community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Grant Manager will collaborate with the BSU grant team to implement, monitor and assure compliance with the grant activities, goals and budget. Will manage all project activities, including faculty professional development, program and course revisions and networking activities.




  • Under the direction of the Chair of Elementary Education, the Project Manager will facilitate collaboration structures by taking the lead on partnership communications and collaborations.
  • Collaborate in BSU grant team’s compliance assurance by monitoring implementation of grant activities, tracking internal accounting, and preparing accountability reports.

  • Collect, manage, and share grant records and data.
  • Lead initiatives in support of teacher candidate preparation to implement science of reading-aligned instruction and the mission of the department.

  • Meet weekly with the co-PIs to ensure grant objectives are being met.

  • Identify, obtain, and organize grant resources (including literature, experts in the field and on the community, etc.) to support implementation of grant activities and goals.
  • Support the BSU grant team in attending and hosting grant-related meetings and convenings as needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
