Under general supervision, direct, lead, assign, and perform custodial work required for the cleaning and maintenance of facilities following proper procedures and techniques for equipment and cleaning products.

Job Function:
Under general supervision, direct, lead, assign, and perform custodial work required for the cleaning and maintenance of facilities following proper procedures and techniques for equipment and cleaning products.
Minimum Education:
1.High School graduate or equivalent (GED).
Minimum Experience:
1.Two (2) years custodial experience.
2.No allergies to soaps, cleaning agents, chemicals, or environmental factors in custodial service.
3.Must be able to climb/use ladders, scaffolding, and/or manlift of various heights to perform duties.
4.Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and University policies, procedures, and communications, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
5.Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
6.Must be able to perform all mental and physical requirements as outlined in each job duty.
7.You must be 18 years or older.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assignment and direction of work; evaluate the work performance of assigned employees.
- Instruct employees in the proper methods and use of materials and equipment.
- Requisition cleaning supplies and materials.
- Maintain proper storage and security of supplies and materials.
- Assist with cleaning duties as assigned.
- Report needed repairs to supervisor.
- Verify attendance of subordinates.
- Assist in training others.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of various job related chemicals and environmental concerns.
- Set rooms according to custodial work sheet and customer specifications; arrange, move, and/or replace furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous equipment from room to room as requires; report items requiring repair to supervisor and/or group leaders; perform minor repairs to furniture and building fixtures, if position requires it.
- Mobilize fully loaded trash dumpster; push/pull dumpster to loading dock, push/pull dumpster to compactor, secure dumpster to compactor, mobilize empty dumpster, if position requires it.
- Operate motorized pallet jack, if position requires it.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
