Pfizer Singapore is recruiting permanent employees for manufacturing site expansion of PFIZER ASIA MANUFACTURING PTE LTD (PAMPL) in Singapore.

What You Will Achieve

You will co-ordinate the manufacture of key API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) Intermediate processes and provide appropriate technical support to process teams to sustain and improve the processes. You will ensure flawless execution throughout each assigned campaign, focusing on the fundamentals of safety, quality, supply and cost. Cost Improvement Projects (CIP) development will also be a key part of your role.

As a Team leader, you will be involved in leading work teams within a division. You will lead the people, technical and financial resources of the team. Thanks to your technical skills, you will coach your direct reports on day to day activities. You will be relied on to solve complex problems within your area of expertise.

POSITION SUMMARY 

  • Lead and guide a team of Process Technicians to perform all operations for Manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
  • Lead and guide a team of Process Technicians to perform commissioning activities for all plant equipment, participate in hazop process, safety inspection, generation of standard operating procedures.
  • Participate and contribute to the design of the plant equipment and water system .
  • Assume the role of the Site Incident Commander and Operations for Organic Synthesis Plant in the absence of Operations Manager.
  • Accountable for ensuring Process Technicians perform their task in compliance to Environmental Health Safety, cGMPs, GDP and all relevant company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to achieve our vision of being the Best in Class manufacturing site, producing highest Quality products in the safest manner.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, direct and guide the team, including developing and communicating goals, setting priorities, development plans and conducting performance reviews.
  • Engage and inspire their teams on performance expectations and guide the team to meet these expectations using Coaching Skill principles.
  • Focus on Safety and GMP Compliance as operational priorities as performance measures that should be included in metrics.
  • Know the processes and procedures, including the principles and practices of good data management (ALCOA), and be able to guide, advise and guide their teams.•    Be accountable for the Good Data Management and Data integrity understanding and performance of their team. Effectively monitor the actions of their team. Ensure an active daily presence in GMP work area to observe work activity and practices within their role responsibilities.
    Note: Any compliance deviations will be investigated in accordance with QAC-PRO-0000337 Deviation and Event Procedure.
    •    Be available to their direct reports for real time escalations of any concerns or support needed.
    •    Be observant, investigate and report actions or behaviors that may negatively impact the desired outcome of the GMP process or activity.
    •    Lead and support continuous improvement efforts, where applicable.
    •    Be a role model to support a positive compliance culture.
    •    Review the content of all Leader Led Conversations and, on an annual basis, conduct two
    "Leader Led Conversations" with their teams aimed at fostering a culture that supports compliance with procedures, including good data management.
    •    Be vigilant for potential actions or behaviors that could result in breaches of GMP compliance or Data Integrity principles.
    •    Ensure that the shop floor is in a constant state of safety and regulatory compliance and inspection ready.
    •    Ensure effective training of all the operations colleagues and compliance to SOPs and OJT.
    •    Ensure all Process Technicians perform their task in compliance to Environmental Health Safety, cGMPs, and all relevant plant policies and procedures.
    •    Assign operation task according to Manufacturing Standard Work (MSW) and Operation Standard Work(OSW) and ensure compliance.
    •    Direct Process Technicians to perform operation task, pre-campaign start up, change over cleaning to meet production plan.
    •    Review MSW and OSW for any delay and recommend or assign resources to carry out the improvement.
    •    Liaise with other departments (QO, Engineering, etc.) for support to ensure efficient operations.
    •    Serve as the Site Incident Commander in the absence of Operations Manager.
    •    Investigate all processing deviations related to alarms, operational issues and take immediate and preventive actions
    •    Ensure the team investigate any near miss incident or process deviation related to EHS and Quality.
    •    Direct Process Technician to perform cleaning of process equipment and perform check to confirmed permit to work are issue in a safe condition to carry out maintenance work.
    •    Implement all relevant human resource policies and procedures in a fair consistent manner.
    •    Develop courses of action and facilitate implementation of solutions.
    •    Uphold Pfizer's code of conduct and values.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate flawless execution. Internal: Engineering, Process, Quality, Facility Team, EHS.

EDUCATION 

  • Diploma in a technical discipline or GCE 'O/A' levels 

EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience (supervisory experience preferred) in the pharmaceutical (API), chemical or petrochemical industry.
