Job Description

Responsibilities*
Conduct aseptic large and small animal surgeries under the direction of the PI and lab manager as well as manage postoperative care and records.
Assists in the collection of physiological data in a complex surgical setting.
Maintains lab records, stocking solutions, histology, data collection and analysis, behavioral testing and other lab duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in related field
At least 1 year previous experience with swine and rodents in a laboratory setting.
Desired Qualifications*
Master?s degree in biology, animal science, or related scientific degree and experience with animals and animal surgery.
Three or more years of previous experience with swine.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills, good communication skill, ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong enthusiasm for developing new skills and expertise.
Work Schedule
Full time Monday thru Friday. Flexible schedule with some nights and weekends depending on study.
