The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, we provide dental education to the next generation of professionals by offering hands-on education through innovative research, patient care, and service. Join other dental providers to improve the oral health of Georgia and beyond. The DCG was founded to provide the people of Georgia with quality dental care by educating students in dentistry. As a patient, you have the option to receive treatment in one of our three different practice models consisting of student clinics, resident care, or in the faculty practice. All dental treatments can be completed by the specialists in our facility. We also serve patients in more than 20 clinics across Georgia.
Job Summary
This position will work under the supervision of the Central Supply Supervisor and participate in activities of the Central Supply Store in the DCG. The duties include but are not limited to maintaining inventory of all stocked items for the DCG, ordering through PeopleSoft, and receiving, stocking, and distributing supply items for all clinics in the DCG. Work with purchasing, warehouse, and vendors to track completion and resolve problems and discrepancies concerning orders and deliveries for the DCG. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the electronic inventory module.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:

INVENTORY: Maintain inventory of all stocked items for the Dental College of Georgia, ordering through PeopleSoft, AllSricpts, HealthEShop, to maintain a required supply of stocked and non-stocked orders. Maintain and monitor accurate inventory of all commonly used supply items utilized in the Dental College of Georgia. Record all orders placed in the AxiUm inventory system module. Replenish stock as needed and plan for future requirements based on orders to ensure that sufficient quantities are on hand to meet the demands of the school. Track all supply orders from start to finish to ensure timely delivery and payments
CHEMICAL DATABASE: Assist with the maintenance of the chemical database for Central Supply. Ensure all expired materials are properly documented and disposed of.
ORDERS AND DELIVERIES: Work with purchasing, warehouse, and vendors to track completion and resolve problems and discrepancies concerning orders and deliveries for the DCG.
a. Inspect packages delivered.
b. Check the accuracy of packages delivered by comparing the contents to the receiving report.
c. Contact the vendor if there are any discrepancies and notify the manager.
d. Follow up on all requisitions placed ensuring conversion to PO happens in a timely manner as well as delivery and payment.
WORKING WITH THE STOREKEEPER: Conduct daily pulls of items needed in dispensaries, ensuring accuracy of pull and timely delivery. Enter data from the pull into the Axium inventory system. Ensure accurate receiving of supplies and enter those items received in the Axium system. Sustain inventory level of supplies stored in Central Supply. Handle all on-demand requests that are present at the window and via e-mail.
OTHER DUTIES: Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization.
Required Experience
A minimum of one year of office support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with experience in purchasing and managing inventory or a combination of training and experience. People Soft experience. Dental supply knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Knowledge of the principles of infectious disease transmission, infection prevention, and control.
Knowledge of dental instruments, supplies, equipment, and procedures.

SKILLS
Prioritizing administrative duties and ensuring that deadlines are met.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize each workday to ensure all deadlines are met.
Following proper procedures to ensure the ability of the Dental College to provide proper and safe patient care.
Ensuring that inventory items are on hand to meet the demand of DCG, while maintaining a level of excellence for the students, as well as the primary health care services of patients.
