Summary

Texas Children's Hospital is building a state-of-the-art children's and women's hospital in North Austin, Texas, opening in early 2024 . Initially, 52 inpatient beds will be available, including a Neonatal ICU, and Pediatric and Cardiac ICUs. Services planned include Heart Center with Cardiac Operating Rooms and Catheterization Laboratory, Neurosurgery, Neonatal Surgery, Fetal Center, Women's Unit with Labor and Delivery and Operating Rooms, and all major Pediatric Surgical Subspecialties. Texas Children's Department of Anesthesiology is creating an Austin Division to provide high quality, state of the art care in all these areas.

The Department of Anesthesiology is recruiting for an attending Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Texas Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas. The anesthesiologist will be responsible for clinical anesthesia services for general pediatric procedures. The anesthesiologist may provide anesthesia services for OB Anesthesiology. In addition to ACGME Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship training, faculty with fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiovascular Anesthesiology, Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management, and Obstetric Anesthesiology are needed.

Required Education:

Medical School Degree; Residency in Anesthesiology; Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology. Fellowship in OB Anesthesiology may be required. The successful candidate will be board certified/eligible in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology. Additional subspecialty training in pediatric anesthesia is required.
