Job Summary
The Coordinator of Student Leadership will provide operational support for the development, implementation, and assessment of student leadership initiatives at Augusta University. This position will work to enhance student engagement and success by developing programs that foster leadership skills, personal growth, and civic responsibility. Reporting to the Director of Student Organizations and Leadership, the Coordinator will collaborate with campus partners to create opportunities that empower students to lead effectively within and beyond the university community.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:

LEADERSHIP PROGRAM: Assist with the implementation and facilitation of leadership development programs for both emerging and experienced student leaders, including programs tailored for underclassmen and upperclassmen. Serve as the primary advisor for the Path Finder (underclassmen) leadership program. Contributes to the development of leadership content that enhances students' skills, builds their confidence, and aligns with institutional priorities.
STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS: Train and support all health science related student organizations (about 50). Organize workshops, training sessions, and other developmental events for student organizations and their advisors. Partner with the Coordinator to plan and execute large-scale student org/leadership events, such as gatherings for student organization presidents and end-of-year celebrations recognizing leadership achievements. Ensure events run smoothly by managing logistics, communications, and day-of coordination.
DATA MANAGEMENT AND ASSESSMENT: Maintain records and data related to student participation in leadership programs, assessing trends and evaluating the effectiveness of initiatives. Utilize technology platforms, including Presence (JagLife), to track and manage engagement data and communicate with student leaders. Provide input for reports and recommendations to enhance leadership programming.
COLLABORATION FOR LEADERSHIP AND CAMPUS TRADITIONS: Serve as the primary advisor for the operations of the university's official mascot (Augustus). Support the planning and delivery of university-wide leadership events and traditions, ensuring they align with Augusta University's mission and values. Collaborate with campus partners to promote leadership opportunities that enrich the student experience. Serve as a resource for students, staff, and faculty seeking guidance on leadership development.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with one year of work experience in student engagement, community engagement, and/or event planning.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university
Experience with registered student organizations, student leadership, and/or university departments event planning
Knowledge and practical application of student development theory.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday-Friday *Work outside of the regular business hours may be required.
Pay Band: B7
Salary: $43,888/annually - $47,200/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
