Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement all training for each task of edTPA. Develop materials and present at workshops, seminars, orientations, and other student and faculty edTPA support sessions. This includes conducting at least two weekly edTPA sessions at night for student teachers, separated by TC programs and non-TC programs.
- Create, maintain, and facilitate edTPA Canvas modules for candidates and faculty within the Student Teaching Canvas Community.
- Represent edTPA in meetings related to teacher preparation, such as internally within faculty committees and externally with our state department
- Develop and implement a phased approach to edTPA during the practicum semester for all teacher candidates, but mandated within the teacher residency, coordinating and responding to ongoing edTPA-related issues and concerns during the term.
- Oversee and facilitate the edTPA remediation process. This includes individual meetings with each student to review scores, individual tutoring sessions, and individual resubmission.
- Respond to questions from faculty and students related to edTPA (including questions about score reports, retakes, etc.) Communicate edTPA policies to P-12 (video portion, etc.)
- Create and share score reports with faculty, departments, and programs and attend all program meetings as needed
- Create score reports with data analysis and interpretation in collaboration with faculty, departments, and programs, and attend all program meetings as needed
- Provide an annual summative report of the performance of teacher candidates in edTPA with recommendations for continuous improvement
- Conduct a minimum of two on-site observations of teacher residency candidates during the fall practicum semester while incorporating edTPA training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
