Job Summary
Michigan Medicine - MedSport is currently seeking an Orthopaedic Physical Therapist experienced in treatment of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal injuries of the extremities and spine for individuals from pediatrics to geriatrics at our Domino's Farms facility. The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in a high volume, orthopaedic setting.

Responsibilities*
Candidate is expected to plan, implement, evaluate and modify treatment programs for patients in a team approach; provide direct patient care using physical therapy procedures and modalities; instruct patients in use of prescribed equipment and home exercise programs; maintain records of patient condition and physical therapy procedures/modalities; serve as consultant to physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and other health care professionals concerning clinical problems and/or procedures; conduct special projects/in-services as directed; participate in teaching of physical therapy students. This position requires extensive standing/walking as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring of patients.

Required Qualifications*
If licensed prior to 2016: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS.
If licensed on or after 2016: Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship.
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Michigan.
Desired Qualifications*
Qualified candidates should have 1-3 years of rehabilitation experience with orthopaedic injuries and conditions, postoperative patient care, along with strong manual skills.
Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedics from the ABPTRFE or willing to engage in training to gain this credential.
