Job Description
Position Overview:The Systems Administrator possess a compilation of technical experience, knowledge and understanding for the following, but not limited to; Microsoft AD, VMware, Cloud Services (AWS / Google / Zoom), Hardware (Servers / Storage) Systems, Print Systems, System Management, Networking, Communication services, and related infrastructure in an enterprise hybrid environment. Provide consultation, technical assistance, establish efficient and reliable IT environment for the College Community.
Responsibilities:
Work as a member of the EI team to assist with the research, recommendations, implementation and support of enterprise information systems and applications.
Deploy, customization and support for Information Technology Systems including but not limited to: Servers / Virtual / Cloud / Network / Storage / Printing and related software.
Monitor and tuning of enterprise information systems. Diagnose and correct operating and performance issues.
Triage enterprise information system issues. Directly resolve or work with other staff to resolve more complex issues. Work with vendors to repair/replace/install hardware and software. Develop effective and timely procedures for troubleshooting software, hardware issues.
Maintain up-to-date documentation on configurations and operational procedures.
Work as a member of the EI team to assist with the support and implementation of enterprise and workstation applications. Provide on-going technical assistance.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Enterprise Infrastructure and/or the Associate Director of Enterprise Infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associates Degree or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in an area related to information technology.
Knowledge and experience with 2 or more of the following: the deployment, maintenance, operations of various OS (i.e.: Windows Server/AD, Linux). Knowledge of Virtualization technologies (i.e.: VMware), Cloud Services (i.e.:AWS / Google / Zoom) and networking equipment (preferably Extreme).
