Summary
The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a qualified physician with training in adult neurology. The successful candidate will be appointed at a faculty level commensurate with experience and achievement. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for adults with neurological disorders.
Job Duties
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurological care to patients.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of neurological disorders.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in accordance with current standards of care.
- Supervise and educate medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare learners.
- Participate in departmental educational conferences, lectures, and academic activities.
- Participate in clinical, educational, or research activities that support the department's academic mission.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Serve on departmental and institutional committees as assigned.
- Maintain all required licensure, certifications, credentialing, and continuing medical education requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Must have successfully completed residency training in an ACGME-accredited program
- Board-eligible/board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Eligible for or licensed to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
