Established in 1956 under the guidance of Dr. Qian Xuesen’s vision for engineering science, the Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMCAS) is a comprehensive national-level research hub dedicated to mechanics. Adhering to the principles of engineering science, IMCAS focuses on addressing critical common technologies and core scientific challenges related to major national missions. I. Recruitment Disciplines
**Mechanics**: Solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, engineering mechanics, general mechanics and fundamentals of mechanics, environmental mechanics, computational mechanics, biomechanics, etc.

**Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering**: Aeronautical and astronautical science and technology, mechanical engineering, power engineering and engineering thermophysics, etc.

**Materials and Physical Sciences**: Materials science and engineering, physics, etc., with a focus on mechanical behavior of materials, nanomechanics, and physical mechanics.

**Other Related Disciplines**: Computer science, control science, electrical engineering, chemistry, biology, and other interdisciplinary research directions related to mechanics.

II. Talent Recruitment Programs and Application Requirements

1. National Talent Programs

**Leading Talent**: No age limit. Applicants should hold a position equivalent to or above Associate Professor at a renowned overseas university or research institution, or hold a senior position at an internationally renowned enterprise.

**Young Talent**: Generally under 40 years of age. Applicants should hold a formal teaching or research position at a renowned overseas university or research institution, with at least 36 consecutive months of work experience.

2. Chinese Academy of Sciences Talent Programs

**Academic and Technical Leaders**: Generally under 50 years of age. Applicants should hold a senior professional technical position (equivalent to full professor) or have equivalent appointment experience.

**Outstanding Young Scholars**: Under 40 years of age. Applicants should hold a position at or above the level of Associate Professor (senior professional title), or have worked at a renowned research institution for 3 years or more after obtaining a doctoral degree.

3. Institute-Level Talent Programs

**Lizhi (力智) Program**: Generally under 55 years of age. Applicants should hold a senior professional technical position or have equivalent appointment experience.

**Liying (力英) Program**: Generally under 45 years of age. Overseas applicants should hold an Assistant Professor position or equivalent overseas appointment experience; domestic applicants should hold a senior professional technical position or have equivalent appointment experience.

**Lixing (力星) Program**: Generally under 35 years of age. Applicants should generally have worked for 3 years or more after obtaining a doctoral degree; exceptional candidates may have their work experience requirement appropriately relaxed.
