Duties/Responsibilities

Research and AI Model Development (50%)

Assist with data preprocessing and cleaning for biomedical research projects
Run and maintain existing AI/ML codebases and document experimental results
Conduct computational experiments using large-scale biomedical datasets.

Project Development and Data Analysis (20%)

Assist in the development of new research projects and perform literature reviews
Support the development and testing of machine-learning models under supervision

Scientific Writing and Dissemination (20%)

Conduct literature searches and summarize relevant publications for ongoing projects
Assist with preparing figures, tables, technical reports, and other research materials
Present research findings through presentations, posters, and written reports.

Collaboration and Other Research Activities (10%)

Collaborate with faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, and research staff on interdisciplinary projects.
Participate in lab meetings and perform other research-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or in biomedical/health informatics, Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field OR a combination of education and relevant working experience to equal at least four years
Strong programming skills in Python.
Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving research priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Research experience in medical image analysis, computer vision, multimodal learning, or longitudinal predictive modeling.
Experience developing deep learning models using PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
Experience with biomedical or clinical datasets.
Experience contributing to scientific publications or technical reports.
Experience working in collaborative research teams.
