Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote, measure, and assess the delivery of high-quality customer services from all units within Research, Access, and Open Education (RAOE) to the university community; identify, develop and implement new services and initiatives.
- Gather and analyze data to develop recommendations and solutions for the improvement and/or implementation of RAOE systems, procedures, and organizational improvement.
- Assign and review work, orient and train staff, and make recommendations in all areas related to supervision, including but not limited to interviewing and selection, compensation, discipline, performance appraisal, and training and career development of personnel.
- Implement and monitor policies and procedures within RAOE, making recommendations for change when necessary.
- Serve on Libraries Senior Management Group to advise and provide recommendations for the University Libraries’ strategic direction, short- and long-range planning, budgeting, acquisitions, strategic communications, policy development, and other similar administrative matters.
- Provide strategic and collaborative leadership for inter-unit task forces and committees; facilitate and support communities of practice to advance library initiatives, projects, and priorities.
- Actively participate in and positively contribute to the activities of the Libraries, university, and profession through such opportunities as related professional organizations, presentations, committee service, publication, etc.; keep abreast of professional literature and scholarly developments in areas of administrative responsibility and pursue opportunities for relevant professional development and continuous learning.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
